Model Of Good Corporate Governance (Gcg) Implementation Through The Effect Of The President Director’s Transformational Leadership And Managers’ Achievement Motivation In Business Companies

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the chief director's transformational
leadership and motivation for achievement managers on the implementation of Good Corporate
Governance (GCG) in PT Multi Garmenjaya. This research is a quantitative study using a
questionnaire. Data collection techniques were by using purposive sampling with a sample of 31
respondents only at the managerial level. The data analysis method was by using simple regression (T)
and multiple (F).
Based on the results of research, the President Director of PT Multi Garmenjaya has implemented
Transformational Leadership effectively.Division managers’achievement motivation in the good
classification with the highest average dimension value is the dimension of work responsibility with the
dimension that gets the medium average value, namely the Orientation Achievement dimension.The
implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in the good classification with the highest
dimension is the Accountability dimension and the dimension that gets the medium average value is the
Responsibility dimension.
The results show that transformational leadership and achievement motivation together
(simultaneously) have a significant 31.1% effect on the implementation of Good Corporate Governance
(GCG). However, partially the results of the research are only transformational leadership that has a
significant effect of 42.3% on the implementation of GCG, while achievement motivation does not affect
the implementation of GCG.The influence of the chief director's transformational leadership on the
implementation of good corporate governance (GCG) in PT Multi Garmenjaya is the most dominantly
in the dimension of the Fostering the Acceptance of group on the dimensions of transparency, and the
dimension of Intellectual Stimulation on independence; while the medium dimension of
transformational leadership is Providing Individualized Support to all dimensions of GCG
(Transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, equality).
