Abstract

In previous works, the analysis of one-dimentional signals can be per-formed by exploiting the theory of image processing of time-frequency representations. Therefore, in our paper we generalize the previous work for studying multi-dimensional signals through their space frequency representations, which is the Wigner Ville Distribution. Indeed, we show that the Wigner Ville distribution of 2D images is a 4D space frequency representation thatcan be considered as a color image. In this way, we could confirm if we could analyze two-dimentional images by exploiting the theory of color images processing of space-frequency representation, in order to find applications, which can serve medicine domain (synthetic and biomedical images).
