Abstract

In the present work, a new investigation which aims to apply the hybrid nano mixture (CeO2+ZnO) with R134a as the replacement of normal refrigerant R-134a for domestic usage with the purpose of reducing the electric power conception and high cooling. The hybrid nano refrigerants (CeO2+ZnO) with R-134a are gracious for ecological protection and have excellent refrigerating performance in association with normal R-134a refrigerant. The experiments worn domicile refrigerator as analysis facility, which authoritatively works with R-134a refrigerant. During test the normal R-134a refrigerant was replaced by varied combination of CeO2 and ZnO nano particles with R-134a refrigerant. A thermodynamic investigation is carried out to present the thermodynamic feasibility and deficiencies by calculating the irreversibilities, COPs, refrigerating effect and exergy efficiency, which are occurring in the component. The results show that by using hybrid nano mixture (CeO2+ZnO) the refrigerating effect is improved and also the total energy consumption is reduced.
