PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF VARIOUS PRE-PROCESSING TECHNIQUES IN GAIT ASSESSMENT

Abstract

The number of elderly people has increased across the globe and monitoring the health of elderly is one of the important tasks. Gait is used for rehabilitation in the field of sports and inability and gait can also be used for monitoring the elderly people. Gait signals can be either video captured or from floor sensors or wearables. The gait signals need to be filtered and there are many techniques for filtering and reducing the noise. We consider LMS, NLMS, FIRWIENER and NDNLMS techniques and compare their performance in reducing the noise.
