Half Bridge Resonant Converter for Electronic Ballast

Abstract

A half bridge resonant inverter with high power factor electronic ballast is implemented in this paper. The input current shape is changed with regard to the input voltage using energy storage elements. Buck and boost operation is implemented along with the power factor correction to supply the required voltage to the lamp for all the conditions of the supply. The circuit is analyzed to design the circuit elements.
