Development of Geogebra Assisted Circle Geometry Textbooks for Junior High School Students

Abstract

The purpose of this study is generally to develop student learning resources on scientific-based circle material and learning using GeoGebra as well as teacher textbooks to apply GeoGebra applications to circle material in the scientific learning process. The research method used is the Research and Development (R & D) with a model developed by McKenney. The procedure of this study consists of three stages, namely the preliminary stage, prototyping stage and assessment stage. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 16 Jakarta in class VIII-3. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. This textbook is validated by 2 experts, first is a media expert and the second is a material expert. The results of this study are based on the assessment of 2 experts, that is our textbooks are worthy of being used in SMP Negeri 16 Jakarta and students responses to textbooks score 81% with good or proper predicate and teacher responses score 98% with very good predicate or very decent. The results of this study are expected to be able to help teachers in the learning process and help students to understand circle material more easily by using scientific and GeoGebra applications-based applications
