Factors affecting entrepreneurial intention of young people: Bangladesh Perspective

Abstract

Entrepreneurial Intention is the art of Business. There are some factors that might affect
entrepreneurship intention. The study aims to investigate the intention of young people that motivate
and challenges towards entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. The study is based on primary data which were
collected through a structured questionnaire. Data have been collected from 227 respondents out of 350.
The result of the study shows that a motivational variable creates positive intention towards
entrepreneurship whereas challenging factors impede to move. The average mean score of motivational
factors is 4.03 and Challenging factor is 3.82 in the scale of 5. The study shows some items of
motivational factors such as availability of jobs, freedom to meet family responsibility, be self-employed
etc. The challenges factors are strict government rules & regulations, lake of technical knowledge etc.
The study gives some recommendations about the employment opportunity
