Abstract

Due to its significance and rapidly increasing rates, plagiarism has become an area of
concern for researchers. The quick access to and ease of cutting and pasting from a wide variety of
materials available on the internet is exacerbated by it. A common and growing issue in the academic
process is plagiarism. In this paper, the benefits and drawbacks of the main effective techniques used
or developed in the detection of text plagiarism are described. Mainly techniques used in the
identification of natural language text, index structure, and identification of external plagiarism and
clustering based detection are been explored.
