Intrusion Detection System Model Using Hierarchical Hybrid Algorithms And Ensemble Techniques In Networking

Abstract

The intrusion detection system helps to monitor and stop the threats or attacks that occur to the networks both inside and outside. Various approaches are utilized in developing IDSs. In this paper two different hybrid approaches are build and their performance are evaluated. Firstly CART and SVM are integrated to build hybrid approach termed as CART-SVM Hybrid model. Secondly, above stated classifiers are combined to form an ensemble approach. Each separate base classifier is combined to form hybrid classifier. This results in efficient and accurate performance of building Intrusion Detection System.
