Abstract

In fastest growing technology microstrip dipole antennas are practically used in the field of advance communication for their compact size, low cost, flexibility and efficiency. Different shapes and sizes of microstrip dipole antennas are available in the market. This paper presents a design of microstrip dipole antenna for 2.4 GHz and analysis in terms of resonant frequency, VSWR, return loss and radiation pattern etc. The FR4 Epoxy substrate is used to design the antenna with CST software. Simulated result shows that bandwidth achieved is 379.96 MHz, return loss is -25.11 dB and resonant frequency is 2.54 GHz.
