Context And Content On E-Governance - Nepal Perspective

Abstract

The development of any country deals with its context and content. In the reference of Nepal past researches clearly indicate that context like political and governance will, literacy rate, demography and geography and religious agenda are still critical subject in employing e-governance. Current e-governance position of Nepal shows improvement in comparison to past but still far behind in comparison with other countries. Nepal has seen tremendous political transformation in last one decade. Current Nepal government has shown clear vision towards the implementation of e-governance. UN e-governance survey index shows the current position of Nepal in e-participation, Telecommunication infrastructure, online service and human capital index. This paper will focus on context and content for e-governance implementation in Nepal, which will help research to find opportunities in implementation of e-governance in local level administration of Nepal.
