Abstract

Day by day Wireless Networks are becoming our Essential part of our life. Limitations of Wireless devices lies in its data rate and range. To overcome this limitation one method is used named MIMO (Multiple input multiple output). Multiple Antennas are used at both transmitter and receiver known as MIMO Communications with spatial multipleaxing and/ or spatial diversity. In order to mitigate the fading spatial diversity is used as a purpose to increase the order of diversity resulting into replication of the signal at the receiver and combination of these signals constructively for a required diversity gain. For improving the diversity gain MIMO OSTBC (Orthogonal Space Time Block Code) is used . This MIMO OSTBC is used with conventional modulation scheme. Then this system is used with TCM (Trellis Coded Modulation). By using TCM OSTBC MIMO , higher diversity can be achieved. Performance Analysis of TCM, OSTBC and OSTBC-TCM are compared in FER form, for Rician and Rayleigh fading channels with Matlab-Simulink tool.
