Extent Of Consciousness Among Women About Constitutional Rights: An Analysis

Abstract

Empowerment of women through education can bring about a positive attitudinal change. It refers to a situation where women can increase their self-confidence, skills, social awareness and can access to different medical facilities and so on. It is therefore, crucial for the socio-economic and political progress of India. The Constitution of India empowers the state to adopt affirmative measures for prompting ways and means to aware women about constitutional rights. Education significantly makes difference in the lives of women. Education of women is the most powerful tool for changing the position in society. Therefore, the present study is very much important for the investigator to find out the extent of consciousness among women about constitutional rights. The study was conducted in the State of Assam.
