Abstract

Window air conditioner trial is conducted for performance testing. Refprop software is
used for theoretical results. Experimental assessment is conducted as per IS 1349 (Part 1) for
three test conditions i.e Domestic Test (DT), Export Test A (ETA) for lower outdoor conditions
and Export Test B (ETB) for higher outdoor conditions. As per experimental results, the cooling
capacity of HC blend increased by 3.72 % - 8.7 %, power consumption decreased by 1.95 % -
5.28 % and COP increased by 5.75 % - 14.92 % as compared to that of HFC134a.
