Survey on Advantages, Real Time Applications of Cloud Computing and Web Services

Abstract

Cloud Computing (CC) and Web Services (WS) are the two technologies plays a dominant role over other technologies. Cloud is a network of resources. Combining cloud with web service shares the commonly available resources in cloud. Cloud Service Providers (CSP) act as a server and the users of cloud act as clients and form a client-server paradigm and provide the requested resources. Cloud supports large number of applications and obviously it faces a large number of problems like distributed monitoring applications, maintaining the load of the cloud network (dynamically formed) , Security issues etc. cloud computing comes from new computing technologies like grid computing, parallel virtualization technology, utility computing, distributed computing and other computing technology. Web service is provided by web service providers (WSP) like Amazon EC2, Google Application Engine (GAE), and Microsoft Azure, etc. users’ application is converted into web application by WSP. The survey gives a overview regarding the advantages, real time applications of cloud and WSs.
