Abstract

The article discusses the theoretical aspects of the origin of free economic zones and their role in
the economy of states. today, free economic zones are one of the most important strategic tasks for the
development of the economy of the republic of Uzbekistan. The first free economic zone in the world is the
city of Livorno, which in 1547 was declared a city of free trade.
