Perception on Financial Management Information System in Construction Industry

Abstract

Management Information System (MIS) is exceedingly helpful for functions of control and planning in an organisation. It is instrumental in accomplishing the work by conveying the timely and reliable information to the experts in management. Furthermore, MIS gives the notice to the management about its strength in terms of strong information to complete the work in most significant manner. Through the efforts of process behind the MIS, cost can be minimised with the help of data of labour turnover, idle time, losses, wastages and surplus in the capacity. The objective includes the perception level of finance executives on MIS. The data collected from 81 financial executives through administering questionnaire. This study quotes that there is high level of operating cost associated with the MIS practices.
