Abstract

In this paper we investigate the need for extending the lifetime of Wireless Sensor Network and to develop a method to improve the lifetime of wireless sensor networks by framing the connectivity between the sensors. Our aim is to reduce the computational cost. The extended idea for improving the lifetime without affecting the power consumption. Our efforts is to developed an efficient connectivity model and simulate it for determining the connectivity between different sensors nodes present in the WSN. It incorporates an efficient Prim’s algorithm and Genetic algorithm for maximizing the lifespan of the WSN. Evaluation of network lifetime is one of the key aspects which need to be focused seriously. Network lifetime enhancement is a significant method to evaluate the reliability of the data since network lifetime is directly proportional to the data reliability of the wireless sensor networks.
