Abstract

This paper establishes an advanced adiabatic compressed air energy storage system economic model, including power plant economic model and system thermal economic model. Taking the fixed-capacity energy storage power station as the object, the investment cost, as well as the investment return rate, the internal return rate, static payback period and dynamic payback period and other financial indicators of the power station are estimated. The exergy loss cost of the compression subsystem, expansion subsystem, gas storage subsystem and heat storage subsystem, as well as the cost of input and output of the system are analyzed. Finally, it quantifies the impact of energy policies, energy storage and energy release prices, and annual operating days of the power station on the investment economy of the project, which is beneficial to control and evaluate the risk of investing in adiabatic compressed air energy storage power stations.
