Abstract

From 1999 to 2020, the severity of poverty in Indonesia has shown a decreasing trend. This can be explained through economic growth and human development index. The researchers aimed to analyze the effect of Indonesia's economic growth index and human development on the poverty severity index-P2. The data used in this study is secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the period 2000 to 2019. To answer the research hypothesis, the multiple linear regression method (pool least square) was used. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it is concluded that partially economic growth has a significant negative effect on the P2, partially HDI has a negative, but insignificant effect on the P2, and simultaneously economic growth and HDI have a significant effect on P2.
