Effectiveness Of Youtube And E Blogs As Web 2.0 Technology In Teaching Learning Process

Abstract

The present study is aimed to explore the use of new concepts and teaching strategies for learning of B.Ed students. Web 2.0 technologies is a powerful teaching learning strategy that demanded that a student becomes actively involved in forming a coherent, structured, integrated, easily accessible knowledge base anchored on a central concept.

In present study web 2.0 technologies were used for the units under consideration and sample of 80 students of B.Ed belonging to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University were selected. The investigator used standardized tools to measure Intelligence. Investigator formed four groups namely group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D by the use of pretest-posttest control group design . The Control Group A was taught through traditional Lecture Method, Experimental Group B was exposed to teaching through Web 2.0 technologies, Group C was taught through both methods, web 2.0 technologies and traditional method of teaching and last in group D students were learn by self-study. Pretest-Treatment-Posttest procedure was adopted.

The pretest and posttest data were adjusted by using ANCOVA, and result revealed that the students of group C which were taught by both, web2.0 technology and traditional method was gained more scores compared to other groups, hence result suggested potential benefits of web2.0 technology and traditional method.
