Abstract

This research presents analytical investigation for effect of changing the boundary condition of continuous reinforced concrete solid slabs caused by damaged of external or internal solid slab. The control slabs model consists of  two external two way solid slabs arruonded one internal two way solid slab and the three slabs adjacent to one way solid slab. This research deals with seven case studys by assuming fully or partially damaged for steel reinforcement of (external, internal) two way or one way solid slab and the last case study is to strength the slabs model by adding IPE200 steel section. Seven slabs models were created by using computer program Abaqus to investigate the load-deflection response. This research aims to study possibility of reinforcing and recast the damaged rienforced concrete solid slabs also, to strength the adjacent slabs which affected by changing the boundary condition of the slabs. The results showed that it can be reinforcing and recast the damaged rienforced concrete solid slabs and treated the adjacent slabs in order to prevent increasing the deflection of the adjacent slabs.
