Abstract

Purpose – Sustainable development education is a very complicated feature for education sector. It is associated with different dimensions like economic, social and ecological. Old-style unidirectional instructive procedures are only of very imperfect use when educating for justifiable growth. The research paper    targets to find out and study the variables i.e. factors that document and inspire enablers of Tech enhanced learning for higher education. Researchers have endeavoured to classify and find the connection among factors.

Design - The Total Interpretative Structural Modelling (TISM) technique is used by the researchers which helped to arrive at the end outcome. Total Interpretative Structural Modelling and MICMAC analysis was used to get final outcome as a model on the nature of relationship between enablers of Tech enhanced   learning for higher education.

Findings - The TISM model for the variables had three levels. The TISM Model shows that education reforms at level 1 are the most important variable to facilitate technology driven learning. Good reforms and policies are important to support the process of e learning. The reforms should be in line with the strategic plan and objectives of higher education spaces.

Research limitations - The model is based on expert opinion derived from a semi structured questionnaire. It is impossible to rule out the probability of biasness from the experts. It is important to further validate the model using statistical tools such as structural equation modelling and other advanced statistical techniques.

Originality/value- The research   proposes a conceptual framework through the expert opinion. To the researcher’s knowledge, there has been no significant contribution in the area of proposing a model learning and identifying the variables. The identified variables would be useful to educational institutions, policy makers to ensure the effectiveness of the process.
