Abstract

COVID19 outbreak has brought a dramatic transformation in the overall operational activities in India. The ‘Lockdown’ which has been imposed to prevent the spread of the virus has also halted the Indian economy and the impact on the economy has also shown a direct impact on the investment choices of investors. Investors believe that the pandemic would continue to have repercussions in the future hence they are cautious on keeping the money secure without any risk and this resulted into a change in preference of the investors among different investment avenues.    

The study aims to find the perception of investors on various investment options available, factors affecting the choice of investment and the most preferred choice of investment post COVID19. The study is based on the primary and secondary sources of data which is collected by the distribution of questionnaire to various investors and by secondary data through various financial websites and further analysis has been done through percentage analysis. The study concludes investment option and factors which predominantly decides the investment preference on the basis of annual income, gender, age etc. while investing.
