High Performance Recycled Aggregate Concrete Using Flyash: A study for Sustainable Development

Abstract

The increase in the construction and demolition waste has led to the rise in the recycling of waste concrete. Also the surge in the construction activities and natural construction material getting scarce, it has become important to find a sustainable solution. A lot of work has been done on the usage of recycled coarse aggregate obtained from demolished concrete. This paper investigates the performance and effect of high performance recycled aggregate concrete using flyash. The use of pozzolanic material i.e. Flyash is quite effective and feasible, and provides an economical and sustainable solution in improving the overall performance of concrete.
