Nakhon Pathom Model: Innovation of Conflict Management in the Performance of Postpartum Hemorrhage in Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the nursing innovation in order to improve the efficiencies of the evaluation, diagnosis, and risk of the postpartum hemorrhage and to upgrade the prevention of the postpartum hemorrhage and immediate treatments for the postpartum hemorrhage in the labor room, Nakhon Pathom Province. This research study is a quasi-experiment research study. The 30 samples were selected from the pregnant women receiving the services of the labor room with the purposive sampling method. The data were collected from the records created by the researchers from the integration of public health care, mother and child hygiene, and Buddhist principles. Nakhon Pathom Model consists of the color bar symbol, birth giver treatment standards, PPH box, and poster job distribution. It was found that the model could completely and accurately improve the efficiencies of the evaluation, diagnosis, and risk of the postpartum hemorrhage. It could also reduce the postpartum hemorrhage and actually prevent Severe PPH. It could be appropriately and effectively applied to the contexts of community hospitals without high costs.
