Abstract

This paper deal with Wind-Photovoltaic cogeneration system. Wind turbine is inter connected to the utility grid through voltage source converter. Voltage source converter (VSC) connected back to back to optimize the power transmission in a cogeneration system. Permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is used for generation of wind energy because it satisfies the functional requirements. PV Solar system we don’t required dc/dc conversion stage. We can directly connect PV system to dc link capacitor and it connected to VSCs that’s why the system efficiency increased. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is applied for both wind and PV system to maximize the power generation. VSC’s regulation is attained by vector control scheme. The fault conditions of utility grid evaluated by proposed system.
