The Predicament and Countermeasures of Poverty Control for the Aged in Rural Areas from the Perspective of Targeted Poverty Alleviation--Based on the Survey of 8 Villages in CQ Town in Eastern Fujian Province

Abstract

The poor elderly in rural areas are a special group of poor people, and the governance of poverty among the elderly in rural areas has a direct impact on the process of poverty alleviation in the new era. Based on interviews with 32 rural poor elderly people from 8 administrative villages in CQ Town, with the diversification of the rural elderly poor posture as a research starting point, combing the main characteristic of the rural elderly poverty, found that the rural elderly welfare supply, family security decline, low rural economic contribution to the rural elderly out of poverty is the basic situation of the rural elderly poor governance. Based on the system supply obstacles facing rural elderly poor governance, weakness of policy supply and defect mode, etc, need in the institutional guarantee to improve the rural elderly poverty, take measures to classify poor elderly people in rural areas, develop rural collective economy, and improve the rural elderly poor governance mode and other aspects into consideration, as to improve rural poverty old feeling and happiness.
