Abstract

The low-lying positive and negative parity states in even-even 150Sm , 152Gd nuclei with neutron
number N=88 were calculated. The negative parity states are involved using the sdf -IBM model by adding
a single angular momentum (L=3) boson with intrinsic negative parity f-boson to the standard sd -boson
model space. A contour plot of the potential energy surfaces of these isotones are displayed as functions
of the deformation parameters and have vibrational characters. The predicted reduced transition
probabilities B(E1), B(E2) and B(E3) are reasonably consistent with the experimental data
