Abstract

Water is a basic necessity for all living beings, it is essential to maintain the river, sanitation, and cleanliness of water to reduce air and water pollution. Water gets contaminated due to many factors such as waste from industries, garbage, sewage, and domestic wastes, etc. The need to develop a flexible multi-purpose cleaning technique is necessary to make the cleaning work faster and more effective. The literature survey has been made and the necessary developments needed to improve the energy efficiency of the water bodies cleaning machine were carried out experimentally. The instruments such as frame, waste collector bin, propel or, solar panel, electric motor, battery, and radio frequency identification (RFID) remote control was used for the present experimental work. RFID and global positioning system (GPS) have been used to make the system run on automated mode. To improve the energy efficiency of the system, the machine is made to operate in both modes i.e electricity mode and solar mode. Design calculations have done where the theoretical values of the parameters were calculated. An engineering drawing is created and the fabrication process has been done accordingly. The fabricated product cleans waste found such as plastic wastes, garlands, bottles, and other wastes found floating on water. The outcomes obtained from the present work has been compared with the previous literature works and presented in this paper. This would solve the manforce in the process of cleaning contaminated water bodies and would benefit the health of cleaners who often suffers from diseases.
