Abstract

One of the things that couples do not realize is the need for premarital counseling. According to Sirait (2019), premarital counseling is intended to help the bride and groom to analyze possible problems and challenges that will arise in their household and equip them with the skills to solve problems. Premarital counseling is very important as a vehicle to guide two different people to communicate each other, learn to solve problems and conflicts, and this premarital counseling will help couples to see marriage and household realistically, to encourage them to re-question what they actually call marriage and help them to find similarities that might be the reason they live together. Today, Islamic family counseling in providing Pre-Marriage Education in Sinjai district is only legitimized at the Office of Religious Affairs in the form of bride and groom courses and Religious Courts in the form of BP4 services, so that it can be said that the process of Moslem families counseling has not been maximally realized at the level of the implementation of sakinah family counseling at the homes of Moslem  families in Sinjai district. The Islamic family pre-marriage counseling found has not been able to function optimally for sakinah family.
