Study on the Influence of the Shape of the Shroud on the Flow Field of the Axial Fan
In order to study the internal flow field of the rectangular flow channel composed of the heat exchanger and the axial flow fan, adapt axial flow fan’s properties with the rectangular flow channel, improve the performance of the axial flow fan. By changing the shape of the flow guide, numerical simulation is used. Methods The flow field characteristics of the axial flow fan were analyzed. Result indicates the highest efficiency as of Z equals 0.59, to where the efficiency increased by 56% and the highest outlet static pressure at the same value of Z, where the pressure is increased by 69%.Given a Z value of 0.59, the inlet static pressure and the inlet turbulence is measured up to 3.92Pa and 35%, respectively when the distances from flow guide to the inlet are0.082 m and 0.246m, the outlet static pressure and the outlet turbulence is measured up to 4.2Pa and 53%, respectively when the distances from flow guide to the outlet are0.072 m and 0.59m.
