Abstract

In this paper a LLC half bridge resonant converter for low power applications is brought forward for study, which
undergoes zero voltage switching turn ON in both switches at primary side and zero current switching turn OFF in
all the diodes at secondary side. Here frequency modulation control techniques, is employed to control output
impedance of LLC resonant converter to restrict the usage of the serial and shunt resistors. These operations
significantly increase the converter efficiency. Simulation for the proposed converter and all its corresponding
waveforms have been achieved using MATLAB R2016a Simulink environment. The paper concludes with detailing
the hardware design and implementation of the proposed converter along with its performance calculations
