Abstract

With the advent of the unmanned surveillance systems both in terms of surface and aerial vehicles, society has seen a
paradigm shift in the way these systems are integrated to achieve certain function. The present day unmanned aerial
vehicular (UAV) systems inherently have severe limitations on size, weight, power and cost. These drawbacks make
design of such systems expensive. This paper emphasize on bringing out the design of a man portable UAV with the
prime objectives being enhancing mobility, easy deployment and recovery, high payload capacity and modularity of
design. Also here focus has been laid upon making the design process cost effective using a systematic approach.
This in turn ensures scalability of the design to a market viable product whilst eliminating the need for high
technical proficiency employed in operating the system. The competent XFLR analysis has been used to validate the
results which ensure the design compliance to aforementioned need for increase in lift to accommodate higher
payload.
