Abstract

This paper introduces a novel application on ancient ruins with a fusion of holography and Digital Humans to create a spatial-narrative and interactive experience for the visitors/users. This application uses Pepper’s ghost illusion technique for projecting documented historical scenes to create a spatial narrative environment. It uses the concept of Digital Human (DH) to present a person from past on display for an interactive experience. This immersive experience is designed to be comfortable and suitable for visitors of various age groups or with disabilities. Survey of users suggested that the interactive approach is very promising for education and engagement into cultural heritage experience.
