Abstract

Multi-input converter is most attractive to combine the renewable sources in standalone system. This paper exhibits
the diverse dual input zeta converters suitable for standalone applications. With the synthesis methods discussed,
several modular zeta converter structures can be developed. The conventional single input converters are capable of
be easily transforming towards multi input converter topologies. A series of a dual-input non isolated zeta converter
(DIZC) is proposed. Incorporating additional switch, diode, inductor along with the source converts the single input
converter to dual input converter. The combination of these components is the building blocks of the series of
converters discussed in this paper. Six different converters are discussed, having eminent features like lowered
component count, lower inductors and compact size. Theoretical model is validated using simulation results is
presented.
