Strategies for Renewal Urban Sustainability at Street of Al Rashid of Baghdad
Abstract
Renewal urban sustainability signifies an innovation new phase for complementing the process of renovation with an environmental index, economic and sustainability of social. Such is the research objective for appling the new attitude to Al Rashid Street as area of study which is one of the most and oldest striking streets of Baghdad, in which it was opened on Jul. 23rd, 1916. The indicators of sustainability analysis utilize SWOT one for identifing weaknesses, strengths, threats and opportunities. The mostly significant analysis of results were Rashid Street significance as a resident character within sustainability of environmente indicators, and the land utilize variety within the sustainability of economic indicators, health and education, community services are offered as sustainability of social indicators.
