Abstract

Medium-fiber cotton varieties are grown in the main areas of the country. This is because the growing
season of medium-fiber cotton varieties is relatively short. However, the vegetation of fine-fiber cotton
varieties is longer than that of medium-fiber cotton varieties. Therefore, fine-fiber cotton varieties are grown
mainly in the southern regions of Uzbekistan.
The sum of useful temperatures should be sufficient for the cultivation of fine-fiber cotton varieties. In
particular, the effective temperature for the cultivation of fine-fiber cotton varieties in the Egyptian capital
Cairo is 3281 ° C, in Alexandria - 3030 ° C, in Sherabad - 3357 ° C, in Termez - 2924 ° C, in Karshi - 2812
° C [1].
