Stakeholders Perception on the Choice of the Professional Institution in Tripura

Abstract

This study was conceived as an attempt to explore the stakeholder’ perception on the choice of
the professional institutions in Tripura State. The stakeholders considered for the study were mainly
students and parents. A total 247 respondents both students and parents were interviewed. The findings
were different from students perception and parent perception. The students found that variables such as
academic quality, placements and student life at the campus were on top priority for them while choosing
the professional institution and variables such as tuition fee, scholarships, reputation, hostel etc. were less
priority. While parents viewed that reputation of the institution, academic quality, tuition fee, scholarships
and placements were more important than other variables
