Women Security through Footwear using Internet of Things

Abstract

This paper is about women security through footwear using the Internet of Things (IoT). The main intention of
this paper is to save the women, when they are facing physical harassment in public places and travelling alone
in public transport such as buses, company vehicles, etc. Nowadays, the crime rate is increasing in this generation
on women by men. However, women are not physically strength, and they cannot protect themselves in the present
world to avoid this type of external harassment problems. In this paper, authors have reviewed existing women
security systems in various literature survey papers and identified the drawbacks. So, some IoT devices can use,
which can help women by sending the information that the woman is in danger. The authors have felt to develop
an advanced IOT device to save women from this situation. Hence, this paper proposes an IoT device for women
security through footwear. Using the proposed device, the women can protect themselves with the technology. In
this, the device is kept in the woman foot wear. When the button is pressed in the device, sound will be raised to
the surroundings, and a message alert will be sent to the corresponding contacts. Hence, women security can
increase with the proposed device.
