Abstract

This paper highlights the study of flow of a second order fluid past an inclined porous plate. For
the entire system magnetic field has been applied. The effect of pore size of the bounding surface and
applied magnetic field over the skin friction has been studied. It is observed that, the viscoelasticity and
skin friction are inversely related. Also, the porosity and skin friction are inversely related. Further, increase
in pore size of the bounding surface contributes to the decrease in skin friction. Apart from the above, it is
seen that the magnetic field influences the skin friction significantly. As magnetic intensity decreases, the
skin friction also decreases.
