Abstract

Agriculture is one of the most common employment in India. It plays a vital role in most of
the food production and other stuff in India and the country is also one of the major exporter of the
agricultural products across the world. But, scarcity of the water is the biggest concern for agricultural
economy and it has been a biggest concern for a long time and continues to be a concern. The correct
use of water will be helpful for the farmers in sufficient production of crops with ample water and not
using much than required. This project aims at reducing the usage of water for agriculture but still
producing same number of crops by using IOT techniques. One of the techniques implemented here is
drip type irrigation. In this project , we are going to implement an irrigation in which we will use a
cloud platform and IOT devices and with the help of communication between the sensors and the IOT
modules , a communication will be established and the device works according to the command given
by the owner even if the owner is not represent near it. In the end, the solution to irrigation of crops in
the drought areas is better in this way and may be implemented in future in most drought-prone areas.
