The Effect of Competitive Advantage Through Quality Control in Achieving Superior Performance in Food Product SMEs in Sukabumi City, Supporting Era 4.0

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of competitive advantage affecting performance, quality
control affects performance and competitive advantage through quality control can affect the performance of
small and medium entrepreneurs of food products in the city of Sukabumi. In this study the population that was
the object of the study were all small food entrepreneurs in the city of Sukabumi, while the sample was taken by
random sampling of 216 people. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to process data. Based on the results
of calculations performed in this study indicate that the competitive advantage owned by small entrepreneurs
(SMEs) can affect company performance, while quality control can also affect performance. Furthermore,
competitive advantage can affect performance through quality control in order to obtain superior performance.
This finding implies that competitive advantage, quality control affects the performance of companies which in
this case are small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) in the city of Sukabumi.
