Abstract

Making machines learn is the new trend of the era and hence the use of Machine Learning is
taking its pace. From small businesses to renowned companies like Google, Microsoft, all are opting the
new phase of the technology. The world is growing ghastly towards 5th Generation computing and to be into
the present phenomenon of applications of Machine Learning, one must know the benefits of its usage.
Machine Learning is capable of providing numerous techniques that can help business, health care, and
many scientific projects. Besides these benefits, Machine Learning is a technology that can be incorporated
into other technologies to get better results. Cryptography is the one among such fields where Machine
Learning can do wonders. Recent studies have been focusing on various application areas of machine
learning in cryptography and the study is still going on. This paper will be focusing on all the applications of
machine learning techniques in cryptography to achieve optimal network security which is the top most
concern for the today’s technical world. The paper also provides implications of machine learning in
cryptanalysis for future reference.
