Abstract

A systemic research has been carried out in this work to predict the efficient mechanical properties of carbon composites by numerical homogenisation. The material used to compute the elastic components is graphite-epoxy. . In this work our main focus is on calculating the stress and deflection of composite cantilever beam which can be used in many industrial works. For that composite beam made up of AS4 3501-6 Graphite-Epoxy is chosen for this work. The research carried out in this project will enable to determine the beam strength due to Transverse loads. In this stress and deflection are calculated with analytical solver developed in the Matlab software. In this study, anti-symmetric laminate composite coupling properties were examined. The orthotropic, point-subject and distributed load-beam deflection function is obtained through the use of anisotropic elasticity. The deformations are measured using formulae with different directions of fibre on the free end of the beam.
