Development of Six Axes Robotic Arm Manipulator using Android Application

Abstract

Recent days the works of human beings are replaced by the robots as they are characterized by
mechanical repetition. The development of this robotic arm is a real boom for people working specially in
industries who are performing the monotonous tasks. In the restrictive environment it is essential to control
the robot wirelessly because the human intervention is impossible and dangerous. The progress of this
robotic arm is established on arduino controller which will interface with the bluetooth technology. The
robot uses bluetooth module to signal six servo motors wirelessly. Arduino programming is used for the
control of the servo motors which in turn serves as the mechanical support for the movement and motion of
the robotic arm. The robotic arm control is done using the android application that enables the user to
experience precise, accurate and flexible control towards the movement of the arm. Adding to these features,
the robotic arm entails a gripper. This feature helps to hold and lift the objects in the construction sites.
Therefore, this work can have many applications including nuclear plants, construction sites, and industrial
purposes
