Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic represents an incredible agitation to the markets world-wide affecting the trade around the Globe. Moreover, production and consumption are also disrupted across the nations. The disease is caused by a categorical virus (SARS-CoV-2). Till this date, neither of the human-kind had ever recorded a pandemic like this, nor have had this much effect on the economies. Authorities all over the world expeditiously understood the signs and implemented necessary lockdowns at a very early stage to subsist the virus from spreading around. Companies were unknown to the fact that the virus will have such a drastic impact on them in the long-run, which somehow led to the shuttering of their operations, and there is understandable concern about the ill-effects it caused on the world’s economy. India, the fifth-largest and the fastest emerging trillion-dollar economy on the Earth, presented various projects and packages to encourage Foreign Investments and to improve the business environment across the country. This paper reviews the effect of the virus on the economy, presents a review on directing India as a preferred nation to invest in and presenting the data about the policies and describing the present scenarios exhibiting India as a better place than other developing countries.
