Abstract

This research work tries to discover the current scenario in implementing Information
Technology for human resources functions by some Indian Organizations. This study also throw light
on the changing role of electronic human resource management (EHRM) in organizations. This research
work examines the effect of technology on different Human Resource functions in addition to HRIS
(Human Resource Information System) and Management of employee data, also it covers the
technological changes in human resource functional areas such as Selection and Recruitment, Training
& Development, Performance management System, Employee Self Service, etc. As a result, first, this
research paper assesses the literature about Electronic Human Resource Management. Secondly, by
reviewing case studies of different Indian corporate companies such as Infosys, Indian Navy, Vijaya
Bank, SBI, etc. with the implementations and benefits of Electronic HRM are explained.
