The Comparison of Lecturer and Student Perception of Employability Student Assessment Skills for Vocational Students

Abstract

This research examines 1). Similarities and differences in the perception of employability skills between lecturers and students and 2). explore the relationship between individual student characteristics and perceptions of students' employability skills, 3). Create an instrument for evaluating employability skills. Survey data of 58 lecturers with the distribution of 28 random lecturers in the Faculty of Engineering and 30 lecturers majoring in Electrical Engineering as well as 151 students with a distribution of 79 students in Electronic Communication Education in the 2019 Classroom Audio Video class and 72 students in the Class of Information Technology Education 2019 in the Multimedia class class. The quality of the assessment of employability skills was felt better by lecturers majoring in Electrical Engineering than students of the second generation, as well as random lecturers in the Faculty of Engineering's level of employability skills were lower than students in Communication Electronics Education and Information Technology Education, so that the individual characteristics of these students mediated the relationship between student achievement levels and perceptions quality employability skills.
