Formation Factors of Teacher Attitude for Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning in Vocational High Schools

Abstract

The research will investigate the effect of professional competency training, pedagogical competency training, and increasing vocational insight on teacher attitudes and interdisciplinary learning practices as well as the influence of teacher attitudes on interdisciplinary learning practices in vocational high schools in Malang. A total of 273 vocational school teachers supporting all subjects obtained by the technique of random sampling were involved in the study by filling out questionnaires about learning practices, as well as attitudes, and factors that influence them. The results show that teacher attitudes are influenced by professional competency training, pedagogical competency training, and increasing vocational insight. These three factors also directly influence interdisciplinary learning. Beliefs affect multidisciplinary learning.
